Ski powder and hard pack with style and confidence! Ski longer and feel less tired with contemporary technique! Or just have fun and ski with experienced, certified coaches.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
KSC offers adult KSC members and people on the KSC Waitlist, the opportunity to participate in the season-long Skillfuls Recreational Ski program. Skillfuls Recreational has a single goal of improving your skiing skills. The classes blend solid technical instruction provided by our PSIA and USSA certified coaches focusing on developing sound skiing fundamentals.
Skillfuls Recreational Ski
Skillfuls Recreational Ski is an all-mountain recreational coaching program designed for all skier levels, from aspiring intermediates with a desire to improve, to the advanced skier needing only a bit of fine tuning. If you haven’t skied in awhile or need a little encouragement, Skillfuls is the perfect way to get back into the sport. The hallmark of Skillfuls is the capability to ski with one coach and group all season, or to change groups as your abilities improve. We also offer specific sessions on Wednesdays for those here midweek, in addition to Saturday sessions.
Our Coaches
The Skillfuls Recreational Ski coaches, led by Gordy Brewster, are all accomplished passionate ski teachers and coaches. All are PSIA or USSA certified, and most are at the highest attainable PSIA certification level. We are very fortunate to have such a highly qualified group of fellow Club members and coaches.
Skillfuls Recreational Ski Program Benefits
Program benefits/highlights include:
- Eleven group sessions beginning in mid-December through mid-March.
- Flexible Skillfuls meeting dates, Skillfuls offers classes both Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- 3-hour sessions from 9:00 to 12:00, with an average of 5 to 8 participants/session.
- Sessions are coordinated with KSC/KMS youth athlete development programs.
- Private lessons, videoptape, member BBQ and end of season closing party.
Skillfuls Recreational Ski Program Schedule
The schedules are arranged to avoid as many crowded vacation days as possible. Also, the schedules may be flexible within your group. You’re encouraged to work with your coach and group to refine your particular group schedule.

- December – 12/09 Ski Free with the Skillfuls, 12/16, 12/30
- January – 01/06, 01/20, 01/27
- February – 02/03, 02/10, 02/24
- March – 03/02, 03/09, 03/16 Make-up Class if necessary

Enrolling in Skillfuls Recreational
It couldn’t be easier to join our programs. Here are the details:
- The Skillfuls Recreational seasonal fee is $325 payable directly to KSC. For people on the KSC Waitlist, there is an additional $125 Participation Fee.
