Hello, Guest. What should we do now? [Login]
Tips and TricksA few tips and tricks for coaches and administration: If you are posting a whole series of calendar events such as 7 days of JO listings, you can short-cut things a little. Make a new announcement with the first date applicable, say March 13, 2004. Now fill in all the checkboxes and text fields necessary, and put the whole week's info into the big field at the bottom. Then hit the "ADD IT" button. The website will post it and send you to the Front Desk. Hit your "BACK" button to get back to the "make-announcement" page. Now change to the next date (3/14/04) and ADD IT. Hit BACK and change the date to the 15th and ADD IT again. Repeat until you have all the dates covered. You can also change the memo at the bottom while you go or wait and edit the entries later. I think that this might be a good place to experiment with information for parents, too. In the first day's JO posting, for instance, you might put van pickup time/place, race start times, location of the race registration. On the rest-day, put times that parents can pick up their racers or expected training so the kids can plan ahead. Let me know what works, what might work if I changed things, or just ignore it all together if it's a total PITA. Toby.
